Volunteering

James does a lot of volunteering work. In 2003 he was instrumental in setting up The Breckland Society, a local history and conservation group in the Norfolk and Suffolk Brecks, and served as its chairman until June 2014. He was also the chairman of the Norfolk branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England from 2010–15 and is currently chairman of the Norfolk Historic Buildings Trust.
